Funeral Livestreaming and Webcast
Funeral live streaming is a great way to gather friends and family together virtually so they can pay their respects with ease no matter where they are.
Connectivity is important, more so than ever at the moment and saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy. The current inability for people to attend as they would wish is a problem that we’re able to help solve. Through a combination of professional grade DSLRs and industry-standard livestreaming equipment your friends and family can help say that final goodbye in the comfort of their own homes.
Our setup is discrete with the minimum footprint required. All of our equipment is regularly PAT tested for your peace of mind and only industry standard kit is ever used.
Camera 1 – 16mm-35mm – wide focal length at the front or back of the room to give you an overview of the entire proceedings
Camera 2 – 24mm-70mm – wide to medium focal length at the back to give an overview of the room and also to track the coffin in from the door
Camera 3 – 70mm-200mm – long focal length at the back to focus on anything requiring a bit more ‘pin pointing’ such as whomever is conducting the ceremony, any speakers for readings, the coffin, tribute flowers and so on
Our services cover you for setup at one location, with inside and outside counting as two separate locations. Broadcast-quality microphones are also used, one at the back and one at the front to get the best audio for the feed. Still images can even be incorporated as part of the process as well, so you could have your loved one’s photo dropped into the stream at the start or end to suit.
It’s important to note that we do take every care in getting the right signal for streaming including using multiple mobile 4G routers aggregated through a further processing switch. All four major UK networks are covered (EE, 3, O2 and Vodafone) with various SIM cards so that the strongest signal can be obtained. Naturally however, signal on all networks varies across the UK and it’s never guaranteed that a strong enough upload signal will be found to reliably stream. Using the church/crematorium wifi or ethernet isn’t an option for us due to potential data limitations and, more importantly, security concerns. If our LTE signal is not strong enough for reliable streaming or if it were to fail for any reason, all camera feeds are recorded along with the actual streamed output so in case of mobile signal failure your video can be uploaded immediately upon our return.
All of our streams are hosted on our own website and are available to view indefinitely – there’s no time limit. You’ll be provided with a link and password, your loved one’s funeral will be streamed and afterwards hosted using the same link and will use the same password for ease. You’re more than welcome to set the password yourself if required.
